Researchers at Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center have developed a novel artificial intelligence blood testing technology. In an initial study in 2021, this test was used to successfully detect lung cancer. In a new study published in November 2022, it detected more than 80% of liver cancers in 724 people. The blood test, called DELFI (DNA evaluation of fragments for early interception) detects fragmentation changes among DNA from cancer cells shed into the bloodstream. Read more here.
