En un estudio inicial realizado en 2021, esta prueba se utiliz\u00f3 para detectar con \u00e9xito el c\u00e1ncer de pulm\u00f3n. En un nuevo estudio publicado en noviembre de 2022, detect\u00f3 m\u00e1s del 80% de los c\u00e1nceres de h\u00edgado en 724 personas.
