    Los científicos de la Centro Oncológico Johns Hopkins Kimmel Se han identificado 16 genes que las células del cáncer de mama utilizan para sobrevivir en el torrente sanguíneo después de haber escapado de las regiones con poco oxígeno de un tumor. Cada uno de ellos es un objetivo terapéutico potencial para detener la recurrencia del cáncer y uno de ellos, MUC1 – ya está en ensayos clínicos.
